The use of growth regulators as a technique that can reduce plant height and thus strengthen stalks, which may be an option to eliminate or lodging, thereby avoiding crop loss. However, there is lack information on the subject. purpose this study was evaluate effect dose (0; 37.5; 75.0; 112.5 e 150.0 g ha-1 active ingredient) application times trinexapac-ethyl (sixth, seventh eighth leaves), in randomized complete block, 5x3 factorial scheme, with four replicates. field experiment performed during 2016/17 season, experimental farm located Selvíria, Mato Grosso do Sul State, Brazil, at Universidade Estadual Paulista- UNESP, Ilha Solteira, São Paulo Brazil - Campus. It not recommended apply leaf, especially doses ha-1, since they generated lowest values for yield parameters, reducing productivity, providing greater number unfilled grains. Taking into account reduction height, minimization lodging grain yield, should applied leaf BRS Esmeralda rice 75 ha-1.
